What are you doing on June 28, 2014 between 5: 00 PM and 11:00 PM? If you find hot cars and hot models attractive, you might just want to buy tickets to the Largest Consumer Car Show in the World. This big event, which will take place at the Santa Clara Convention Center on the last Saturday in June, is unlike any other car show.
There are millions of car lovers who attend all different types of car shows. Corvette owners have their own club and special shows to celebrate the iconic GM sports car. People of all ages attend the annual Detroit Auto Show to get a glimpse at the newest models. At Hot Import Nights, the focus is on the art of modifying cars. In fact, there is a competition to choose the best “tuner” or modified car.
The promoters of this event go to great lengths to create a nightclub-like atmosphere. While the modified cars are the stars of the show, the scantily clad female models will probably draw the most stares from the mostly young, male-dominated, crowd.
You can not create a night-club atmosphere without having plenty of great music. A Headlining DJ will make sure the crowd is rocking. Models will show off their dancing skills in the GoGo contest and the evening will also feature a fashion show.
Top car crews and teams will be showing off their custom rides and the arena lights will be dimmed so you will get the full effect of some amazing car lighting. Sylvania is offering a $2,500 prize for the crew or team with the best lighting.
Auto aftermarket exhibitors will have booths where you can get the newest ideas for modifying your car and you can also buy some cool merchandise. If you get hungry or thirsty, stop by one of the concession stands. How can you beat a night surrounded by cool cars and hot girls?
Hot Import Nights is in its 17th season. It began in the late 1990’s when “drifting” was all the rage and young men spent days and nights customizing their Honda Civics and other small, imported cars. California led the movement and it became extremely popular in Japan, South Korea, and many other parts of the world.
As more and more people got into this movement, a game called Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights was created and allowed Xbox 360 players to simulate the real action. Players design their own custom cars using the visual customization suite to swap bumpers, side skirts, hoods, spoilers, mirrors, and more. Once they design their cars, they get out on the track and test their racing and drifting skills.
You don’t have to drive too far from the budget oriented Camino Inn & Suites in Mountain View to get to the Santa Clara Convention Center. Why not spend the day enjoying our pool, head out to see Hot Import Nights, and then return back to our hotel for a good night’s sleep? Sounds like a great way to spend a Saturday!
