Mountain View Farmer’s Market
If you are looking for a very pleasant way to spend a Sunday morning, why not visit one of the best and biggest farmer’s markets in the Bay area. The market offers an incredible selection of freshly grown produce. There are more than 70 vendors selling locally grown vegetables and fruit. Walk around. Sample some of the freshest organic produce and pick up all the ingredients you need to prepare a delicious salad. When the top chefs in the area shop here to supply their restaurants, you know the quality is really good. Don’t forget to check out the fresh flower market.

Computer History Museum
You don’t have to be a computer “geek” to spend a very enjoyable day getting a look at the world’s largest collection of historical computer artifacts. Multi-media exhibits take you on an educational and interesting tour of the computer’s evolution over time. On display will be some of the earliest computers from the 1940s and 1950s. Recall the days of your youth by playing Pong, the predecessor to the incredible computer games of today. When you get hungry, head over to the Cloud Café and grab a sandwich for lunch. Before you leave, visit the Gift Shop and take home a souvenir.

Shoreline Golf Links
Golfers can play the link-style 18 hole golf course every day except Christmas Day. The Robert Trent Jones II course is a municipal course that is located in the City of Mountain View. It has beautiful vies of the coastal mountains and San Francisco Bay. The course provides a good, but fair challenge for all levels of golfers. It always has well maintained fairways and manicured putting greens. Watch out for the afternoon winds that come off of the Bay. You may just need one more club to reach the green.

Moffett Field Historical Society Museum at Moffett Field
Moffett Field was once a very important military airfield that played an important part in the national defense of the United States. During WWII, the San Francisco area base was a staging area for our military aircraft. After Pearl Harbor was attacked, it served as one of the first lines of defense. Learn about the real fears Americans had about a foreign invasion while taking in the many historic displays. The kids will love climbing into the cockpit of a genuine fighter jet. Volunteers, many of whom had a personal connection with Moffett Field, will take you on a tour. You are sure to here some wonderful first-hand stories about their experience as army and navy pilots.

Living Arts Center
This is a spot where “creativity, spirituality and psychology meet.” The center offers a number of different groups that help individuals understand how they can reach their full creative potential and achieve a more spiritual life.

Starbucks
Stop in for a quick cup of coffee before starting your day or meet with your friends to sit down and talk about what you want to do for the weekend. Starbucks is more than coffee. It’s a great social meeting place and a part of our culture. There are two Starbucks in Mountain View – one on Castro Street and one on Rengstorff Avenue.

Shoreline Park
A day at Shoreline Park and the Shoreline Aquatic Center is a fun and enjoyable way to spend the day. You can take windsurfing lessons, rent a kayak or pedal boat and even go fly a kite. Take in the beautiful scenery and enjoy the fresh air and cool breezes.

Target
One of America’s favorite places to shop, you can always find something you want or need. The store is always very clean and well maintained. Shop for some clothes or pick up some golf balls. If you have been good, reward yourself with a bag of jelly beans.

Opa! Greek Restaurant
Enjoy the taste of authentic homemade Greek cuisine at one of the three restaurants located in Los Gatos, San Jose and Los Altos. It is well worth the short drive from Mountain View to have lunch at this very popular area restaurant. How about the Opa! soup and salad combo for lunch. You can get a delicious cup of Avgolemono (Lemon) soup and a healthy and delicious Greek Caesar salad. There are plenty of different sandwiches served on pita bread and also Greek standards like Moussaka and Souvlaki. Each table gets their first bottle of wine for free.

How can you not have fun? There are so many things to see and do. Whether you like to plan ahead or just take a leisurely ride, fun is right around the corner.
